This website is brought to you by the Merseyside and Halton Waste Partnership (MHWP):
- Halton Borough Council
- Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council
- Liverpool City Council
- Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority
- Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council
- St Helens Metropolitan Borough Council
- Metropolitan Borough of Wirral
Established in 2005, all members of the MHWP have responsibilities for tackling the effective delivery of sustainable municipal waste management in Merseyside.
This website acts as a portal for recycling, composting and waste prevention information for the whole of Merseyside. It contains information on kerbside recycling collections, local bring banks and Merseyside and Halton’s 16 Household Waste Recycling Centres. You can also find information about minimising your waste, how to compost at home, waste facts and a fun recycling game.
The Merseyside and Halton Waste Partnership is managed through a Senior Officer Working Group (SOWG) made up of Officers of the Partner authorities who meet on a regular basis. The MHWP Annual Review documents the successes against the identified priorities in the SOWG workplan.
