Wednesday 26th June and Tuesday 2nd July 2013
MRWA has joined forces with Mersey Ferries, National Museums Liverpool, RSPB and Big Heritage to once again host the hugely popular Liverbird Discovery Cruises on the River Mersey and out into the bay. The cruises are perfect for those whom are both new and experienced watchers.
As well as a running commentary by RSPB experts, an Archaeologist from Big Heritage will also be exploring human activities through the ages, on and around the River, with fascinating facts including explanations of local place names. MRWA staff will be there to provide information on waste and recycling and to raise awareness to the effects of litter on the river and its surrounding environment.
Bring your own binoculars if you have them. Refreshments and toilets can be found on board on the main deck.
Ticket prices are £14.00 for adults and £7.00 for children (3-15yrs) and advance booking is necessary online or by telephone on 0151 330 1444.
The cruise departs Seacombe at 1.00pm, Pier Head at 1.10pm and Woodside at 1.20pm. Cruise duration approx 2.5 – 3 hours.
