Recycled float to star at Brazilica Festival!

We have a sneak peek ahead of this weekend’s Brazilica Festival of one the fantastic floats – that’s built almost entirely of recycled materials!

The impressive Anubis float, which is being sponsored by Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority (MRWA), was getting its final finishing touches today from the Brazilica team and Stuart Donaldson, MRWA Waste Strategy Manager (see image).

The float itself is made from a range of last year’s costumes with the impressive Egyptian columns made from recycled rice tins.

Carl Beer, MRWA Chief Executive: “We’re pleased to be involved with this year’s festival, and hope visitors come along and meet the MRWA team to find out more about saving money through waste reduction and recycling.”
