Veolia and Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority (MRWA) have announced new Sefton Community Forums for waste and recycling and they want to hear from you!
New Community Forums are being established across Merseyside and Halton to help improve services, solve issues and problems and plan for future developments. The North Sefton Community Forum will be held at Southport Town Hall on 3rd September 2014, Time: 3.00 pm – 5.00 pm. The South Sefton Forum will be held on 8th October 2014 at Park Hotel, Dunningsbridge Rd 3.00 pm – 5.00 pm.
The new Community Forums will tell residents more about new developments and improvements to sites and services, as well as a chance to have your say and have your questions answered on waste and recycling in Sefton.
Veolia and MRWA provide recycling and waste services to more than 650,000 households across Merseyside and Halton, operating facilities including, 15 Household Waste and Recycling Centres, 4 Waste Transfer Stations and 2 Materials Recovery Facilities. The Community Forums will be focused on these key areas and will be open and free for anyone to attend.
Cllr Graham Morgan, MRWA Chairperson said: “We’re pleased to be establishing Community Forums across Merseyside and Halton so that residents can have their say on the services we deliver.”

SEFTON FORUMS: North Sefton Community Forum: 3rd September 2014, Time: 3.00 pm-5.00 pm at Southport Town Hall, Lord Street, Southport, PR8 1DA. South Sefton Forum: 8th October 2014, Time: 3.00pm-5.00pm at Park Hotel, Dunningsbridge Road, Netherton, Liverpool, L30 6YN.
